Summer is the time for holidays and relaxation, but it is not advisable to lose shape. We are about 13 weeks away from the new form of EDP Maratona de Lisboa Rock´n´Roll and Vodafone Meia Maratona RTP Rock´n´Roll and Mini Maratona EDP.
Wichever choice you make to participate in we will begin the preparation next week in order to be prepared for the route from the Vasco da Gama Bridge or in Cascais, if you want to participate in the marathon on 6th October.
This year, once again we will run to the sound of music with bands and DJ`s that will accompany you throughout the eace course.
At the end of each race we have booked a vintage selection for the final concert: Xutos e Pontapés.

The MARATHON:
- The 42,195 meters of the course involve a good preparation on the part of the participating athletes in this queen-race of the Athletics. The start will be at 10:05, from Cascais, and athletes will go along the pleasant Marginal to Lisbon where the goal will be in the same location of the Mini and the half-marathon that compete in the same morning.
The last 8km of the race will be common with the participants in the Lisbon half marathon, however the organization will differentiate between the athletes who are in the Half, or the Marathon...

- The Half Marathon begins on the Vasco da Gama bridge, which gets its name as a celebration of the 5th centenary of the discovery of a sea route to India by Vasco da Gama. It is the longest bridge in Europe and the ninth largest in the world, and it offers a breathtaking view over Lisbon and the Tagus River estuary.
